Agrestal Organic Living

Our operations are centred around 3 key activities:-

• Sourcing and Certifications:

We have about 200,000 sheep certified as organic in District Kangra and Kullu of Himachal Pradesh, India under the National Programme for Organic Production, formulated by APEDA, Govt of India. These sheep are managed in around 200 grower groups called Tolis, consisting of sheep owned by different farmers who are contracted by us for procurement of their wool produce.

• Processing and Subcontracting:

The wool that we receive from farmers into our warehouses is scoured, carded and combed under GOTS , RWS & OEKO-TEX certified facilities in Baddi Industrial Area, Himachal Pradesh spanning an area of over 1000 sq. meters. The clean wool produced at Baddi is moved to our sub contracted facility at Jaipur for Felt and Wadding making, again certified facilities under GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards).

• Export and Development:

The wool that we procure and process is exported in containers and under the Blockchain Technology that we have introduced, we are able to track and trace the wool right back to the sheep farm in Himachal Pradesh.
